Upgrade to macOS Big Sur
Before installing this upgrade, make sure that your Mac is ready.
Check compatibility
Newline (frequently called line ending, end of line (EOL), line feed, or line break) is a control character or sequence of control characters in a character encoding specification (e.g. ASCII or EBCDIC) that is used to signify the end of a line of text and the start of a new one. Some text editors set this special character when pressing the ↵ Enter key. Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5 include the server component out of the box so all we need to do is turn it on. To end the session press Command+Esc on either computer. Some Mac users may want to clear caches and clean out temporary files from Mac OS. Caches and temporary files can include things like web browser cache and history, messaging cache, app specific temp files and caches, partially completed downloads, and much more.
macOS Big Sur supports most Mac models introduced in 2013 and later.
